Energetic live band with good blend of melody and carefree wildness.
With a playful interplay and an energetic presence, Bliss Quintet has established itself as a unified force in the Norwegian jazz scene. Dramatic and sentimental ballads, catchy fanfare-like horn riffs, complex rhythms, and open harmonic landscapes are central elements of the band’s musical expression. All of this is carefully maintained in the band’s sound, with a strong focus on playful interaction, wild and energetic in-the-moment expression, and elements of free improvisation in line with acclaimed Nordic bands such as Atomic and Masqualero.

Bliss Quintet presents their 4th album In Motion. With a nuanced sound in which new elements such as synthesizers and flutes have emerged. Together, they preserve their characteristic driving expression and raw energy, while also daring to take the listener into collectively searching passages.
